We're already on your block.
Twelve recent jobs pinned to the map. Drain cleaning, water heaters, slab leaks, sump pumps, gas lines, and 24-hour emergency service across Mokena, Tinley, Orland, New Lenox, Frankfort, Homer Glen, Manhattan, and Lockport.
Twelve jobs across eight towns, last 17 days.
Updated daily by Mike or whoever ran the day's call sheet.
Six things we do every week.
Drain Cleaning + Camera
Snake, hydro jet, and a follow-up camera scan so you can actually see what we cleared. We send you the video.
Water Heaters
Tank or tankless, gas or electric, repairs and full replacements. Same-day swap when we can get the part.
Sump + Battery Backup
Replacement, install, and battery backup pairs. We size the pump to your basement, not to whatever was on sale.
Gas Line Service
Repair, install, leak detection, and pressure testing. Black pipe and CSST. Permit pulled when the village requires it.
Slab + Leak Detection
Acoustic and thermal location, then targeted repair. We open the smallest hole that gets the job done.
Repipe
Whole-house or partial. PEX standard, copper on request. We keep water on at night when we can.
Mokena Plumbing has been Mike's shop since 1998.
Mike Janik started the shop out of his garage on La Porte Road in 1998, two years after he finished his apprenticeship in the city. He picked up his master plumber license in 2002 and never moved further than three miles from where he grew up.
Today the shop runs four trucks across Mokena, Tinley, Orland, New Lenox, Frankfort, Homer Glen, Manhattan, and Lockport. Mike still takes the after-hours emergency rotation about half the weeks of the year.
We are the on-call plumbing crew for Lincoln-Way Special Recreation Association since 2008. If you have a kid in the program, your registration fee has paid us once or twice.
Whatever your job is, the person on the truck has done it before, the truck has the part on board, and the price you get on the phone is the price on the invoice.
Eight towns, one shop.
Reviews from people on the route.
"Called Mike at 6 in the morning when our basement was taking on water. Truck was in the driveway by 7. New Zoeller pump and a battery backup, and he was off the property by 10. The price he gave on the phone is the price I paid."
"We had a slab leak on the kitchen side of the house and three other plumbers wanted to repipe the whole place for ten grand. Mike found the leak with acoustic gear, opened a six-inch hole, rerouted in PEX, and we were done in a day for under eighteen hundred."
"Backflow tag was overdue and the village sent me a letter. Called Mokena Plumbing Friday afternoon, they were out Saturday morning, tagged and filed with the village by Monday. No drama."
